Characteristics 


ShapeTACHI(太刀) with a deep SORI(反り).
Hada : Finely-grained ITAME-HADA(板目肌).
Hamon : NIOI-DEKI(匂出来). CHOJI(丁子) blended with GUNOME(互の目). SAKA-CHOJI(逆丁子). Comparing Fukuoka Ichimonji, their Hamon looks more calm.
BoshiMIDARE-KOMI(乱れ込み).

Notes


  • The school founder Sukeyoshi was a grandson of Sukemune(助宗) of the Fukuoka Ichimonji school(福岡一文字派).
  • Unlike other Ichimoni schools, the Yoshioka Ichomonji school inscribed the Kanji character Ichi(一) into the NAKAGO(茎) with a stroke going from right to left(the correct order is left to right).
