Hada : Fine-grained MASAME-HADA(柾目肌).
HamonNIE-DEKI(沸出来)SUGUHA(直刃) which resembles frayed thread, NIJUBA(二重刃).
BoshiHAKIKAKE(掃掛け)YAKIZUME(焼詰).

  • Sendai Kanekuni is believed to have been a descendant of a swordsmith of the HOSHO SCHOOL(保昌派), and his swords display some characteristics of the school and YAMATO Tradition(大和伝).
  • His name was succeeded through 13 generations but the later generations were somewhat inferior to the 1st generation.
