ECHIZEN-SEKI SCHOOL(越前関派), was a Japanese sword school founded by a group of swordsmiths who moved together from Mino province.

Characteristics 


Shape :
HadaMOKUME-HADA(杢目肌) mixed with ITAME-HADA(板目肌).
Hamon : NIE-DEKI(沸出来) apparent less. NOTARE(のたれ) or GUNOME(互の目).
BoshiTOGARI(尖り).
Other : Carving is seen on TANTO (短刀).

Notes


  • Since the smiths had being active in Mino province, their swords display some characteristics of MINO Tradition(美濃伝).
